Whether it's a hot label or a new lounge, you're likely to be one of the first to check it out.
But in this case...well, get ready to check in. Yes, at long last, the Ritz Carlton has finally opened its doors and given downtown (not to mention Denver) a little much needed boost in the luxury department. Occupying the space formerly known as Embassy Suites, the new Ritz promises 400 thread-count Frette linens, flat screen TVs, iPod alarm clocks and a full spa. The Ritz even offers guests with the option to leave their car in valet and rent out one of the hotel's many Mercedes to tool around town or to use for a day trip to the high-country.
Of course, if you'd rather skip the hotel part and just stop in for dinner and drinks, check out the latest outpost for Elway's Restaurant. A little more dressed-up version of its Cherry Creek counterpart, you'll find all the usual suspects here including duck tacos, tuna tartare and a whole assortment of steaks and seafood. Make sure to also stop in for their brunch, serving everything from typical breakfast fare to Lobster club sandwiches and even a no-carb burger option (read: burger wrapped in lettuce). It's a pretty posh way to start the day.
All in all, whether you're checking in or just checking it out, the Ritz is worth a look.
