HE SAID READER:  I’m having issues with my roommate.  We set up rules before he moved in and he hasn’t been following them.  It’s my place, he’s not on the lease, I need help making rent.  It’s just so frustrating and I can’t make myself talk to him about it, I’m too scared. 

BENDER:  If you don’t talk about it nothing will change.  You have to let your roommate know what is going on.  You have the upper hand because it is your place and your roommate isn’t on the lease.  Gather your courage and talk to him.  If it’s something you can’t work out you have the option of finding a new roommate to help out with rent.  I think you will be surprised how much better you will feel after you talk to him.  Don’t keep living with the anxiety this is producing for you - it’s not worth it!
