BENDER:  If you are interested in becoming an identified sperm donor there are several questions to ask.  Does your friend expect you to actively parent this potential child?  Would you have financial obligations which you may or may not be invested in?  Do you expect to actively play a part in your child’s life?  Does she expect you to actively participate in your child’s life? 

I suggest that you and your college friend make lists of any and all of both of your concerns.  After that, have a long, sit-down conversation and decide if it is in all 3 people involved bests interests.  This is much more than a decision about what house or car to buy…a new life is potentially going to be involved!  Take this one seriously my friend.
