If your old enough to remember the last time these shoes made there way onto the feet of the fashionable, then you'll probably recall that the usually appeared just south of a pair of tight-rolled jeans. Now, here we are, a couple decades later and this new boat-shoe moment is showing no signs of abating.
Brought to us by Vane, (a Sebago spin-off brand) these new iterations offer a little more variety than what we had in the eighties. Sure, the classic brown is available, but our favorites are the white variety, and especially their "spearmint" a gray and white combo. Each comes with contrast stitching, and two styles even include patent leather--the Tuxedo and Olympian Docksides.
Wait a sec-patent leather? Boat shoes? Oh yes. Because what better way to update the look of that two-seasons-too-old tux. Well maybe not, but even if you don't go with the slippery when wet version, we're sure that sooner or later, you and I will both be sporting these white-soled-wonders.
