How do we love Tig Notaro? Let us count the ways.
Actually, that sounds like a whole lot of work and way too many words for the internet. But trust us, we love this comedian so, so much.
The Texas native returns to the Lone Star State on May 31 for a show called Comedy Kicks Cancer.
If you haven’t been following her life already via her standup, then we’ll catch you up to speed. She has a very personal connection to the subject matter, not only having survived cancer but because it was her frank (and funny) “Hello, I have cancer” routine that really propelled her into the national spotlight. Not to mention a new role as one of Ellen’s BFFs.
Profits from her new stand-up show at the Eisemann Center in Richardson on May 31 will benefit Cancer Support Community North Texas. Plus, if you want to get up to speed on her droll way with words, you can catch her new Netflix special (Tig Notaro: Happy To Be Here) on May 22.
Don’t wait until then to get tickets, though.
You’ll just have to trust our assessment that she’s a comedic genius.
