Forget everything you learned from Kermit the Frog.
It’s totally easy being green. Not to mention fun.
Especially at this month’s extravagant Green Tie for Green Haus event presented by the Gay & Lesbian Fund for Dallas (GLFD). Every two years, GLFD puts together a fundraising party that is—dare we use an over-used word—epic.
Two years ago, SPCA of Texas was the beneficiary. This year, it’s Shared Housing Center, a non-profit that provides and facilitates affordable housing options. More specifically, funds raised will be earmarked for their Green Haus capital project, which creates efficient, eco-friendly, LEED-certified 24-unit communities for single-parent families, homeless veterans and older homeless adults.
The March 24 soirée takes place at 7 for Parties and includes casino tables, tunes from DJ Jennifer Miller, plus festive food and drinks, of course.
Best of all, you should be able to procure all sorts of green-colored stuff for half-price on March 18.
Talk about lucky.
