Put Some Gay In Your Day!

Here’s The Beef!

Don’t judge us. We love a sliced roast beef sandwich and curly fries on occasion.

But until now, we had to satisfy our craving at a fast-food spot that rhymes with Schmarby’s and always lets us down in terms of the final product. We hate when something sounds better than it actually is (hence our cancellation of Grindr.)

Well, no more. We have a far fancier version of that fast-food favorite with the first location of Top Round in Texas at the Toyota Music Factory in Irving.

Owned by Jason Napolitan and his fiancé Daniel Blaylock, this gay-owned franchise delivers some of the best roast beef sandwiches and curly fries in a fast-casual setting. They have a pretty damned good F-U-Chick-fil-A sandwich option, too.

The California-based restaurant has a loyal following thanks to its chef-driven approach to fast food. Utilizing only the top quality ingredients and making everything from scratch in the kitchen (including those amazing fries and their own Cheese “Wizz”), every restaurant delivers a top-notch experience every time.

Best of all, you can get a side kale salad to keep you from feeling completely guilty for all those meats and carbs. Which, of course, means you can save room for their frozen custard desserts. And maybe a cold beer or mini bottle of wine. Or all of the above.

There are lots of restaurant choices at the newly christened music venue in Irving/Las Colinas, but we think Top Round will be our go-to next time we’re there.

Because just like the upcomign Tom Jones concert, everything’s better with plenty of cheese.
