We always jump at the chance to grab a couple buns mid-day.
Even better when it’s not at a cheap motel.
Well, today’s our lucky day (and yours, too) because you can grab one of 6,000 free hamburgers starting at 11:00 a.m. today at Thanks-Giving Square downtown. OK, so technically it’s not free-free, but donate at least $5 on-site to United Way’s Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund and that beefy sandwich is all yours thanks to an in-kind donation from Amazon’s Treasure Truck and Porter & York.
Team members from United Way of Metropolitan Dallas and Cafe Momentum (among many other groups) will turn the outdoor space into the hippest, hottest, most happening burger joint in downtown. Even if it’s only for three hours.
Just think: If every burger goes for five bucks, that equals $30,000 toward hurricane relief efforts. Donate more and, well, that number only goes up and that warm feeling in your tummy will certainly be overtaken by the warm feeling in your heart.
Good thing we like our warm-and-fuzzies with mustard and ketchup.
