A Riot Act

For the LGBT community, the world changed on June 27, 1969.
That’s when police raided the Stonewall Inn in Greenwich Village and the gay rights movement officially began with the launch of the subsequent riots and protests.

The play premiered at Chicago’s Steppenwolf Theatre in 2012 and the Addison theater group’s production represents the regional premiere. The show runs July 28 through August 20, so you have an abundant number of opportunities to grab tickets to this must-see show.

Unlike the characters portrayed in the show, you may not be able to actually say, “I was there.”

But by the final curtain, you’ll certainly feel a connection that powerful.
