Tomorrow, Sunday Funday transforms into Sunday Feudday.
Surely you know by now that Ryan Murphy’s latest limited series premieres this weekend, but in case you’ve been locked in a room by your nasty, former-child-star sister, we’re here to help. Not get you out of the room, of course, but help you pass the time.
Feud: Bette and Joan stars Susan Sarandon as Bette Davis and Jessica Lange as Joan Crawford, during one of the most tumultuous times in the lives of these battling Hollywood legends: the filming of What Ever Happened to Baby Jane? (If you’ve never seen it, you can rent it from $2.99 on iTunes and Amazon Video. It’s required viewing in order to get the most out of Feud).
Once again, Murphy fills his cast with some of his favorite actors, including the triumphant return of Lange to prime time. We love what he did with the O.J. Simpson story and this based-on-real-life tale will surely live up to expectations for fans of both Murphy and the iconic divas. Besides, Murphy is best when working with true stories because they don’t go off the rails the way every season of American Horror Story has.
So here’s your agenda for tomorrow. Start the day off with a big-screen viewing of Bette Davis in All About Eve then keep the Old Hollywood vibe going with What Ever Happened to Baby Jane? before ending the night with the premiere of Feud.
It’s the best thing since sliced rat.
