It’s been months and we’re still terrified by The Shallows to the point that even getting into a dark hot tub freaks us out a bit. (Unless there’s a handsome naked man there to reassure our safety.)
So we hadn’t planned to hit the open ocean anytime soon, but we’re totally tempted by the latest adventure from Gay Surf Brazil.
Starting March 25 for eight days and seven nights, Brazil Ecojourneys presents its third annual LGBT Surf Camp. That’s right, catch waves with people from all over the globe with at least one big thing in common: Mike Pence hates us!The camp is suited for skilled surfers and novices alike for riding waves at Praia do Rosa, recognized as one of the 38 Most Beautiful Bays in the World.
The trip includes a two-night stay at Florianopolis, also known as the “Magic Island,” one of the most LGBT-friendly places in all of South America. Other highlights include yoga, nightlife excursions, relaxation time at the resorts, dolphin watching and several included meals.
Plus, three months is plenty of time to get over our fear of open water.
And our fear of wearing a swimsuit in front of a bunch of gays.
