Apple’s New iPhone 6s: What to Expect

It’s almost time for Apple to announce a new generation of the iPhone and I’ve got the latest scoop on Apple’s iPhone 6s/iPhone 6s Plus.

According to a few leaked iPhone 6s images, it appears this year’s new iPhone won’t look any different than the extremely successful iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. That said, its internals are expected to have some big improvements.

As I reported a few weeks ago, the iPhone 6s is expected to include Apple’s new Force Touch technology, just like the Apple Watch and newer Macbooks have. Force Touch can differentiate between a light tap on the display versus a deep press, which would give you more options within Apps, Mail, Messages, and more.

One of the better improvements expected on the next-gen iPhone 6s is with its cameras, both the front and the rear. By now, you should know what 4k HD video is (it’s already being used by YouTube and is in new HDTVs as well… 4,000 times the resolution of 1080HD). The back camera is expected to have a 12-megapixel camera and support 4k HD. The front camera is rumored to sport a 5-megapixel camera and is expected to give the “selfie generation” a high-five by sporting “support for a FaceTime camera with 1080p video capture, a front-facing camera flash, and panoramic selfies.”

Appleinsider.com claims the new iPhone will have twice as much memory (RAM) as in the iPhone 6 with 2GB of RAM. This will obviously boost your new iPhone’s performance with apps and make it much, much faster. Battery life will most likely be improved, too.

Finally, for those of us who love moxie tech details, the iPhone 6s is expected to contain a re-designed wireless system using a new chip which would allow for double the speeds of web browsing when using 4G LTE than what the iPhone 6 can currently do.

The next-gen iPhone 6s/iPhone 6s Plus is expected to launch this fall, in time with Apple’s new iOS 9 software which comes with a ton of new enhancements, including Apple Music, new notifications, a smarter Siri and much more.

We’ll keep you posted on more details as we know them. Follow the Moxie Mo on Twitter or like us on Facebook.
